Jumpy Line for iOS Is Deceptively Simple, yet Incredibly Challenging

When it comes to iPhone games, I definitely love discovering the latest and greatest titles on the App Store. Jumpy Line is a relatively new game by Apps4Life that’s both annoyingly frustrating and incredibly addicting to play.

When I first opened Jumpy Line, I noticed that there weren’t any instructions for how to play the game. This led to quite a bit of confusion, but after a bit of trial and error I managed to figure out what the overall point of the game was.

So what is it? Essentially you have to do your best to move the dot between the lines without hitting other dots. This might sound simple, but you have a number of factors working against you.

For example, once you start moving, the screen quickly scrolls forward. If you don’t jump to the next line in time, the game is over. Also, you don’t have very much time to plan your next jump, and most of the time you’ll end up just winging it.

In terms of graphics, Jumpy Line is a pretty standard arcade game. I do like the fact that it’s visually simple, though, and the primary focus is on the actual gameplay experience.

One thing I do want to mention is that as you keep playing, you’ll be able to unlock additional skins/themes that change the color of the game. It might seem like a small detail, but it’s one that I particularly like because users can customize their playing experience based on preference.

When it comes down to it, Jumpy Line is one of those iPhone games that’s incredibly difficult to play, but it’s so addicting that you just can’t put it down. I do want to mention that there are ads, but you can optionally disable them via a $0.99 in-app purchase.

What are you waiting for? Try Jumpy Line and post your high score in the comments!

Jumpy Line requires iOS 7.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.
