Summary:

NUM - Insanely Hard Math Game is perfect for students and anyone who wants to sharpen their math skills in a fun and challenging way. Even if you're not a fan of math, this fantastic game will have you addicted to solving equations in no time.

Whether you’re a student who is looking to get a bit of extra practice with math or you want a way to keep your brain in shape, NUM is worth downloading. Even if you can’t stand math, this fun and challenging game will suck you in and keep you playing.

Some people cringe at the mere mention of the word math (including myself), which means they’re either afraid of it or they don’t think they’re very good at it. NUM aims to change that by encouraging players to practice their math skills by solving equations quickly.

This is accomplished by using the provided numbers on the screen to reach a solution. The best part is that there are multiple ways to solve an equation. NUM requires you to think quickly, though, because levels are timed.

If you enter the correct numbers, NUM takes you to the next level and equation. If you happen to get stuck, the game provides an “unlock solution” boost, but you have to purchase more from the App Store for $1.99 if you want out.

I was really happy to see that NUM allows you to delete a number if you happen to enter the wrong one. While this might seem like a tiny feature that doesn’t matter very much, I’ve sound of that a lot of math games are borderline impossible because they never forgive you for mistakes you make.

One of the things I really like about NUM is the fact that it’s visually appealing. I was actually pretty surprised to see how sharp and smooth NUM really looks. It’s definitely far more than I expected from a math game.

The only thing about NUM that I find to be missing is a freestyle mode without levels. This would essentially be a random mix of equations that players have to solve in order reach a high score.

This would not only provide an extra mode for players, but it would also give those who have completed the 45 available levels an option to continue practicing math using the game.

Overall, NUM might initially seem like just another challenging math game, but a fantastic combination of gorgeous graphics and a very unique gameplay concept makes this game one that can’t be passed up. I definitely can’t recommend it enough!

NUM is available to download from the App Store for free and requires iOS 7.0 or later. It’s compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.
