Sometimes a simple reminder from your to do list just isn’t enough. Occasionally you have to remember something specific at a particular location. That’s where an app like RemindMeAt comes in handy. This useful productivity app for iPhone lets you create location-based reminders quickly and easily.
To properly use RemindMeAt, all you have to do is open the app and tap the “add note” button at the top of the screen. The app will then ask you if you want to create a new note or choose an existing note to edit. When creating a new note, simply enter the note’s name, details, the note’s schedule, and options as to whether or not you want to show the note in your Notification Center widget and be notified about it via push.
Personally I really like the fact that you can set a specific schedule for notes in RemindMeAt, mainly because constant use of the app can lead to a very cluttered Notification Center interface. Plus, users who have a very set schedule will definitely appreciate the ability to adjust note days.
Why is an app like RemindMeAt so useful? When was the last time you arrived and an appointment and forgot the name of the person you are meeting with? Perhaps you have to make a quick stop at the grocery store the next time you’re driving by to pick up things you need for the party this weekend. That’s where a location-based reminder app comes in handy.
Also, when creating a note, you can manually add the address at which you want to be reminded. By default, RemindMeAt uses your current location for the address. Lastly, users can optionally add a phone number to their note, which allows for one touch dialing from the Notification Center.
One thing I do want to mention is that you have to be incredibly careful with battery life when using a location-based app like RemindMeAt. This is primarily because consistent use of the GPS in the background will drain battery life incredibly fast.
Another great feature of RemindMeAt is the ability to add multiple locations to one note. This is perfect for if you have to run errands and you need to make multiple stops at various stores.
Overall, I think RemindMeAt is a wonderful productivity app that’s useful right when you need it. While it’s easy to create to do lists and reminders, sometimes you’ll forget to check them. With an app like RemindMeAt, it does the remembering for you.
RemindMeAt requires iOS 8.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.
