If you’re into virtual gambling, Spin N’ Win Slots might be something that would interest you. This free slots game by GC Gaming, LLC keeps players playing by offering them a chance at winning actual gift cards from their favorite retailers.
Players can choose between six different slot machine themes, all of which are available immediately when you first start playing the game. The goal of Spin N’ Win Slots is to spin the slots until the counter at the bottom left corner of the screen reaches 202 spins. Once this occurs, players are taken to the bonus prize wheel. Here, there’s a chance of winning real gift cards and extra coins.
In terms of graphics and music, Spin N’ Win Slots isn’t over the top in terms of animations and effects. Background music changes with each slot machine theme, but slot sound effects stay the same across all six themes.
I do wish there was a little more excitement, though, as repeatedly spinning the slots just to get the meter over 200 spins gets really boring really fast. After a while, it seems more like a chore than a game.
Players level up each time they reach over 200 spins and complete the bonus prize wheel. Once players reach level 5, there is an auto spin feature that’s unlocked. I would imagine that auto spin doesn’t close full-screen ads automatically, so it’s likely that players still have to keep an eye on the screen in order to keep playing even if auto spin is enabled.
You’re probably wondering what the big bonus spin is like, right? Much to my surprise, it seemed like there was a very good chance that the wheel could potentially land on a gift card spot. However, once I spun the wheel, it started slowing down and then spun incredibly fast before landing on my prize of a few hundred coins. Better luck next time, I suppose.
As far as gift card prizes go, card values range from $5 up to either $1000 or $2000 (the game’s App Store page says both, which is a little confusing). Winners will supposedly receive their gift card within seconds via email.
The only thing that really bothers me about Spin N’ Win Slots is the fact that advertisements are everywhere. While I completely understand that gift card prizes are funded by these advertisements, it’s a little ridiculous that a full-screen advertisement appears at least once a minute (or so it seems).
A couple of times I had advertisements appear one after the other within a few seconds. Do I think that this is enough to make someone quit playing? It’s a possibility, especially if they’re accidentally clicking on the advertisements all the time.
Overall, Spin N’ Win Slots is a free iOS game that definitely entices players with the possibility of winning real gift cards just by playing a game. However, the game feels a little too basic and flat for me, especially when all you have to do is constantly tap the spin button.
Hopefully the developers find a way to spice up Spin N’ Win Slots to make it a bit more exciting, probably by adding mini games to slots or something else that breaks up the monotony.
Spin N’ Win Slots requires iOS 6.0 or later and is universally compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5.
